In our house, I’m typically the one who makes dinner. However, there are days where I am too tired to make dinner and tell Peter it’s his turn. He came up with this pasta recipe on his own, and is always so excited to make it for me.
Who doesn’t love a 4 ingredient meal? This delicious and easy recipe combines pasta, yummy balsamic dressing, chicken sausage, and parmesan cheese. It’s such unique flavors for a pasta, but it actually tastes unreal. And you’ll have dinner ready in 20 minutes. I hope you all enjoy this as much as we do!

Ingredients
16oz box of Fusilli*
12oz cooked chicken sausage
1 T olive oil
3-4oz of balsamic vinaigrette dressing
½ cup grated parmesan cheese*
Directions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil
- While waiting for that to boil, slice up your chicken sausage. Heat up a frying pan or large saute pan/wok with olive oil and add sausage. Fry up to your liking (Peter always makes it extra crispy).
- Once your water is boiling, add pasta and cook according to box.
- Drain cooked pasta then add back to your pot (if you used a large saute pan or wok for sausage, add it to that instead). Mix with sausage, balsamic and parmesan cheese. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- You can use any type of pasta, I just happen to love Fusilli or rotini with this one
- Gluten free: use GF pasta
- Vegan: use vegan parm cheese
- You can always start with less parmesan cheese and add more. It is really dependent on personal taste preferences!
